Hello,
My name is Mrs. Weimer and I am the Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten teacher at Beacon Hill this year! While I am not new to teaching, I stayed home with my kids the past 8 years so I’m very excited to have the opportunity to be teaching part-time. I grew up in Nova Scotia and am the 3rd oldest of 7 children. I moved to Sylvan Lake in 2007 and while the lake drew me in, meeting my husband and step-son was what kept me here! My husband and I have raised our 3 kids (Jakob 17, Anniston 8 & Owen 6) here and while we enjoy our visits to Nova Scotia every summer, Sylvan Lake feels like home!
Being a mom has been my favorite job and has made me a better teacher now that I know each child really does come with their own unique (and sometimes challenging) personality haha. For all the times I thought a student should be able to sit and listen, well… my own children humbled me pretty quickly!
I love being outside in the sunshine - walking, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, swimming, even mowing the grass if it means I can enjoy the sun! I love to keep busy and rarely sit still very long, so Kindergarten will be a great fit for this school year!
